The Clerk of Court and the deputy clerks are committed to providing you with superior customer service. We will be happy to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have about the services of this office or the procedures you must follow for a particular court process. Please be advised, however, that state law prohibits our staff from rendering legal advice, restating the law or recommending specific ways to pursue legal action (OCGA 15-19-51). Many people are confused as to what legal advice includes, legal advice examples are:

• Which county documents should be filed
• Which court holds jurisdiction
• When answers are due
• How to prepare paperwork
• What paperwork is necessary for filing a case
• The time limits for responding or appealing a decision
• Interpreting legal documents or orders
