Obtaining Copies
Clerk of Courts

An exemplified copy is a copy of an official document, such as a court pleading or judgment, which is obtained from the Clerk of Court where the particular document was filed. The clerk will certify in writing, affixing a court seal, that the particular document  was properly signed and entered. Exemplified copies are more than certified copies -- the clerk certifies that the copies are genuine and the Judge certifies that the clerk has the authority to say they are genuine. Typically you would use an exemplifed copy:

  • To Domesticate a foreign Judgment
  • Anytime you are taking an Order to have it enforced in another state

You may come in to our office or request the copy by mail.

If you come to our office, you can obtain certified copies by request assistance from the clerks in the office

  • Exemplified copies are $6.00 for the seals and $1.00 per page
