Currently, Cherokee County is the 7th largest of Georgia's 159 Counties. Between the years, 2000 and 2010, Cherokee's population grew 51.1%. This in turn, created significant construction opportunities. Cherokee County is a relatively young community. In 2010, the largest age group is age 45-64, the Baby Boomers, and the second-largest is age 10-29. There are 5 main municipalities in Cherokee County: Canton, Woodstock, Ball Ground, Holly Springs, and Waleska.

There are also 22 parks and recreation areas in Cherokee County. These offer residents and visitors the opportunity to experience recreational activities, event green spaces, trails, and water sports. The trails are paved and unpaved allowing the community to bike, walk, run, and ride horses. Cherokee County is truly a great place to live, work, and play.
