RFP#2010-31 Structural Repairs to Union Hill Community Center
Bid Synopsis
CHEROKEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, pursuant to the provisions of O.C.G.A. ยง 36-91-1, et. seq., herein seeks competitive proposals from general contractors for Structural Repairs to Union Hill Community Center located at 1780 AJ Land Road, Canton, Georgia. Any Contractor who intends to submit a Proposal is required to attend a mandatory pre-proposal meeting, which will be held on the 30th day of November, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the project site described above. The requirements for construction of the Project, additional Instructions, supplementary and other conditions are set forth in the Contract Documents. Contractors interested in submitting Proposals must obtain copies of the Contract Documents by contacting the Project Architect, JKH Architects, 121 West Crawford St. Dalton, Georgia 30720 Phone (706) 278-4242. A non-refundable deposit in the amount of $100.00 is required for each set of the Contract Documents. Payment must be made by company check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Architect. Any contractor submitting a Proposal must procure a complete set of the Contract Documents from the Project Architect. The Contract Documents require, among other things, the furnishing of all materials, labor and equipment for construction of the Project. Additional information and requirements including the complete request for proposals and instructions to proposers are contained in the contract documents. Proposals will be received by the Owner at his office located at The Cherokee County Administration and Conference Center, Upper Level, Attention: Procurement Office, 1130 Bluffs Parkway, Canton, GA 30114, no later than 2:00 p.m. on the 14th day of December, 2010. Proposals received after said time will not be accepted. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive any informality, to reject portions of the proposals, to waive technicalities and to award the contract in a manner consistent with the interest of the Owner and the laws of the State of Georgia.
