RFP2011-07: HOBGOOD PARK ADDITIONS, RENOVATIONS AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS
Bid Synopsis
Competitive Sealed Proposals are requested by Cherokee County Board of Commissioners, through its Office of Capital Projects, for the demolition and construction of a new concession building and courtyard improvements, new maintenance, umpire, pavilion and toilet buildings, demolition and construction of new walking track, roadway and parking lot improvements and additions, new landscaping, baseball drainage improvements, sewer line relocation and other miscellaneous improvements. The work will be conducted at the Cherokee County Hobgood Park located at the corner of Towne Lake Parkway and Bells Ferry Road, at 5150 Towne Lake Parkway, Woodstock, Georgia. This is a project approved and funded as a part of Cherokee County’s Parks, Recreation and Green Space Bond passed by the citizens of Cherokee County in November 2008. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting for this RFP will be held at the Hobgood Park concession building at 2PM local time on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Further information about the project will be posted in the Bids/RFP section of the County’s website, at www.cherokeega.com. Proposals will be received by the Cherokee County Procurement & Risk Management Department, Cherokee County Administrative Complex, 1130 Bluffs Parkway, Canton, GA 30114, telephone (678) 493-6034, until 2:00 PM local time on Thursday, March 10, 2011, and thereafter opened and read aloud. The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities and to make an award as deemed to be in the best interest of the County.
