	Hello, my name is Agatha. I am a 7 year old Domestic Short Hair Calico. I was brought back to the shelter on 7/16/2008 after being adopted because my owner told them I was not using the litter box, but that was not true; you see; I do not seem to have a problem using the box here at the shelter…so I don’t understand why I was returned…I have no problem being around other cats and I love people. I would love to go to a loving home where I can feel most comfortable…one place where I can be me, to be loved and to give love. I wish every day for a family … for a nice comfy couch … just for someone to love. Maybe you are that family???
	Hello, my name is Cuddles. I am a 3 1/2 year old domestic short hair. I came to the animal shelter on 4/12/08. The person that dropped me off had me for 2 months; I guess I was not what she wanted, because she just left me here. My name fits me, you see, I love to cuddle. I do get along with other cats, but I have to admit, I always want to be the boss; I’m the one in charge…so if it turns out that I am an only furry baby; that would be fine with me as well! I would love to be able to run and play…would you consider me?
	URMI HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! Urmi is 7 months old and a very shy girl. She is a Domestic Medium Hair. She has been staying at the shelter since September 2008. She came into the shelter with a litter of kittens but because she is so shy, she has grown up at the shelter and watched all of her brothers and sisters get adopted. Urmi desperately needs someone to give her a chance because once she learns to trust, she is a sweet, loving girl. Could you be the one to give her that chance?

DOGS
	Hi, my name is Didi! I am a 2 year old Patterdale Terrier mix and I weigh 37 pounds. I have quite the story to tell about my time here at the shelter. Originally, animal control picked me and one of my good buddies up back in the beginning of November 2007. Despite the shelter staffs best efforts to get me and my good friend adopted together, after aimless months depraved of any real potential homes for the both us, they let me go to a home alone. As fate would have it though I was returned the next morning! The family that adopted me thought they could handle two dogs, but after one night with another puppy and me roaming their home, she changed her mind, and we were both returned. So, once again I found myself waiting in a cage. Time passed, and my “brother” has since found a good home, I was upset to see him go, but grateful that one of us has a steady environment to grow in. My one year anniversary here at the shelter is steadily approaching, so needless to say, sometimes I get a little wound up. I promise if you would just take the time to visit with me, I will prove to you just how easy to please I am. My all time favorite is to have my belly rubbed; I love to play with kids, and other dogs; despite my unfortunate circumstances, I still know how to have fun. I am very food motivated, which would make training me easy. I would just love to have my very own family! Please consider me....you will not be sorry!
	LINDOR HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! Lindor is a very large, happy shepherd/hound mix! He loves other dogs & children. He will leave you dumbfounded as to why he is here. His soul shines through his actions, he is genuinely in love with people. As long as you are true and kind to him, he can be your best friend. He was adopted previously by a family who had him for 2 years. As their family grew they had less time for Lindor. He has been the perfect occupant of the shelter. He has shown nothing but friendliness to everyone- furry friends and human alike. Won't you give him a chance to make your life complete? Due to his size of 80lbs, he will require a fenced in yard.
	LORINDA HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! Lorinda is a pretty Lab/Shar-pei mix who has the cutest little ears from her shar-pei heritage. She is a very sweet, shy girl and gets along great with other dogs. Lorinda has been staying at the shelter since 11/23/07. She is 2 years old, 57 lbs., and has had kind of a sad life, so please come meet her and turn her luck around.

OTHER TYPES of ANIMALS

The Cherokee County Animal Shelter is in need of donations of dog beds as modeled by Corinne in the picture (Corinne has been adopted but there are many great dogs like her at the shelter. Please click on the link above for more information). The beds provide a comfortable spot for the dogs to lay up off the concrete floor. Cost of each bed ranges from $52 to $64.
