MISSION STATEMENT
The Environmental Health Division of the Cherokee County Department of Public Health provides health protection programs to prevent or reduce the incidence of disease, death or disability caused by exposure to environmental factors. These factors include unsafe food, water, air or other environmental exposure. While most functions of this division are regulatory in nature, a strong emphasis is placed on health education.
