Garry T. Moss District Attorney

A.Dee Morris
Chief Assistant District Attorney
A. Dee Morris is the Chief Assistant District Attorney of the Blue Ridge Circuit. He has been prosecuting cases here since July 1993. He is a “Double Dawg” having graduated from the University of Georgia School of Business in 1998, and the University of Georgia School of Law in 1993.
Wallace "Wally" Rogers, Jr.
Assistant District Attorney
Wally was born and raised in the South Georgia hamlet of Albany. After attending public schools there, he migrated to Atlanta and eventually graduated from Emory University in 1968. Following his graduation he entered the United States Army and enjoyed a brief and relatively undistinguished tour of duty.

After arriving home from the Army, Wally entered the University of Georgia School of Law, graduated, became a lawyer in June of 1974 and soon thereafter moved to Rome, Georgia where he began life as an assistant district attorney. He left Rome for the lights of Canton in 1980 where he likewise toiled as an assistant district attorney until December 1988. From January until October 2001 Wally enjoyed the limelight of private practice but returned to the fold and now stands for trust, justice, and the American way.
Harlan F. Wood
Assistant District Attorney
Harlan F. Wood has been an Assistant District Attorney in Cherokee County, Georgia since January 2002. He graduated from University of Pittsburg in 1996, receiving the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Following undergraduate, he attended the Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania where he received a Juris Doctor in 2000. Mr. Wood is currently a U.S. Army reserve Captain in the JAG Corps.
Samuel Kevin Barger
Assistant District Attorney
An Assistant District Attorney in Cherokee County since August 2001, Samuel Kevin Barger has been assigned to Juvenile Court, Family Violence, and now primarily prosecutes violent felonies involving firearms.

Kevin was born in the kitchen of General “Stonewall” Jackson’s house in Lexington, Virginia, and graduated from Riverheads High School near Staunton, Virginia. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, along with a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.

During his active duty career spanning more than 20 years and taking him to more than 36 countries, Kevin served as an air traffic controller, a mission crew member aboard the E-3A AWACS, a navigator aboard the C-130E Hercules and later the Special Operations MC-130E Combat Talon, a staff officer, and educator. His decorations include the Meritorious Services Medal with three-leaf cluster, the Air Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, and the Combat Readiness Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the National Defense Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster. He logged over 300 non-rated hours in the E-3A, and 2,500 rated hours in the C-130E, C-130H, MC-130E, EC-130E, T-43, and T-37.

Besides his BA from Virginia Tech, Kevin is also a graduate of Squadron Officer’s School and of Air Command and Staff College. He earned a Master of Science in International Relations from Troy State University, and Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Georgia.
Scott Poole
Assistant District Attorney
Scott Poole is a life-long Georgia resident. He is a 1990 graduate of Berry College and attended law school at Georgia State University. He has been employed by the District Attorney’s Office since 1997.
Ashley Snow
Assistant District Attorney
Lara Ashley Snow is a graduate of the Georgia State University College of Law. She has been with the District Attorney’s Office since June of 2004. Ms. Snow received her undergraduate degree in Soviet Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Robb Morton
Assistant District Attorney
Robb Morton graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Finance in 2001. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2004. That year Robb began working in the Cherokee County Attorney’s Office.
Lawton Webber Scott
Assistant District Attorney
After growing up in the South Carolina lowcountry, Lawton Scott received her undergraduate degree from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia. She received her law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1990 and she was admitted to both the Oklahoma and Georgia bars in 1991. Ms. Scott prosecuted at the Cobb County Solicitor's office anf the Fulton County District Attorney's Office before joining the Cherokee County District Attorney's Office in 2001.
Susan K. Treadaway
Assistant District Attorney
Ms. Treadaway grew up on the east coast of central Florida. She earned her undergraduate degree in Business Management in 1999 from the Florida State University. Ms. Treadaway moved to the Atlanta area upon completion of her undergraduate studies and later continued her education at Georgia State University, where she earned her Juris Doctorate in 2004.
