CATS
Arabella is a beautiful long haired cat. She is very laid back and tends to hid a lot in the cat room where she is staying. Because of that, she is often overlooked by potential adoptors. Arabella does not like children so she needs to go to a home without them. She will make a great companion for someone who is looking for an older, easy going cat. She is 4 years old, weighs 12 pounds and has been staying at the shelter since 10/1/07.
Ritzie is a sweet, playful girl. She has been overlooked at the shelter because she has an overactive tear gland. This makes one of her eyes look a little rough. She needs a loving home with an owner willing to clean her eye every once in a while. Ritzie is 4 years old, weighs 7 pounds and has been staying at the shelter since 12/2007.
Sissy is a wonderful long haired kitty who has been staying at the shelter since 8/10/07. She is a sweetheart, very laid back and loves to be petted. No one at the shelter is quite sure why she hasn't been adopted yet! Sissy is 6 years old and is hoping to find her forever home very soon!

DOGS
Hi, my name is Alpine. I am a 2 year old Coonhound and I weigh 64 pounds. I have a long history with the shelter, so you can ask one of my handlers for the story. I am a very head-strong young lady, with one very important goal... to be loved and to give love in a stable environment. You see, this is not my first time staying at the shelter. Because of my size and breed, I do require a home with a nice big, sturdy fenced-in back yard as I need to run and burn some energy. I am potty trained and I know some commands. I roll over for a cookie too! I would live to be able to run around and play. It would be wonderful if you were my new forever family!
Hello, my name is Corn Dog. I am a Reddish/Tan Lab mix approximately 3 years of age. I was brought to the Animal Shelter by Animal Control on 8/30/07. I am very good with other dogs and would love to play all day long! I do not have a mean bone in my body. I love children and am very good around them, whatever their size may be. Due to my size (I weigh 64 pounds), I do require a fenced yard. I know basic commands and would love to be able to show you if you would just give me the chance. You see, I have been here for too long! My handlers here say they do not understand why I have been here for so long because I am such a good dog.
Hi, my name is Julius. I am a 4 year old Spitz/Cattle dog mix and I weigh 40 pounds. Do not be fooled by the tough guy act I put on in my cage. My bark is really just a defense mechanism. I was brought in to the shelter by Animal Control back in December of 2007. I spent the holidays away from my family and grew anxious for the day I would finally find a happy home again. I really am just a sweet dog with a lot of love to give. I am very low maintenance, I will sit at your feet for treats and want nothing more than to just share the company of a warm home with a good family. I love to play and I have been know to return toys to your for more enjoyment. If you choose to adopt me, I promise to be a calm, loving, life-long companion!
