The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners is dedicated to providing a " Superior Quality of Life" for its residents.

The County Manager is the chief executive officer for the county. The County Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, oversight of the day-to-day activities of county employees who are not employees of a constitutional office. Other responsibilities include fiduciary responsibilities, public relations, policy implementation, and coordination of county activities. The County Manager is appointed by the Board of Commissioners and serves at its pleasure.
