Mission Statement
The Mission of the Cherokee County Roads and Bridges division is to efficiently and effectively maintain the county's roadway network to provide a safe and pleasing travel environment for all users of the system. The Roads and Bridges division is responsible for managing and supervising all roadway maintenance for the county's road system and related work on all county property. This includes grading, drainage, and pavement maintenance and improvements.

    Some roads in Cherokee County are not maintained with county resources. These are typically Highways and State Roads often designated with road signs depicting the route number inside a silhouette of Georgia. Highway examples: 140, 108, 92, 20, 5 and Interstate I-575.SIGNS

    Carcass Removal
    Dead animal pickup criteria: Deer or Large Dog in road or road right of wayLandfills
    Cherokee County operates its own Recycling Center.
