We are working diligently on our 2009 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and our audit; however, the County has experienced significant turnover in key finance personnel and is still in the process of gathering necessary information to ensure proper reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. For this reason, the Georgia State Department of Audits and Accounts has granted Cherokee County an extension for filing 2009 financial statements. We expect to finalize our 2009 CAFR by September 30, 2010.
