Building permits are required by Cherokee County to make sure structures are built to code to protect the public by reducing the potential hazards of unsafe construction and ensuring public health, safety, and welfare of your family, your friends and future owners. The following building codes have been adopted by the State of GA as the minimum construction standards and are applicable state wide:

The Development Service Center will permit all construction activity in the areas of unincorporated Cherokee County and the City of Waleska. Our staff will review and issue the following permits;
