Cherokee County Board of Commissioners will hold a Joint Public Hearing to solicit public input on the Cherokee County Solid Waste Management Plan on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 6 pm in Cherokee Hall of the Cherokee County Administrative Complex and Conference Center, 1130 Bluffs Parkway, Canton, Georgia. 

This will serve as notice to the general public that Cherokee County is completing the solid waste management planning process in accordance with the State of Georgia Minimum Planning Standards and Procedures for Solid Waste Management.  

The plan includes Cherokee County and the Cities of Ball Ground, Canton, Holly Springs, Waleska and Woodstock. The Plan is available for review at the Engineering Department at the Cherokee County Administrative Complex during normal business hours or through this link.
