Effective July 25, 2012, the Directors of the following Agencies/Departments, or their designee, are hereby designated as the County’s Records Officers for the purposes of handling requests for records  over which their respective Agencies/Departments have custody and control:  County Marshal, Emergency Communications (911), Fire & Emergency Services, Community Development, Public Works, Elections & Voters Registration, Tax Assessor, and the Clerk of the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners.  Open Records Act requests to the County shall be made upon the Records Officer(s) responsible for the particular subject matter of the request.
