Cherokee County CDBG Program Office Is Accepting 2013 Grant Applications

Cherokee County is accepting Program Year [PY] 2013 applications for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.
 
Applications are available for the following types of projects: Public Facilities - Construction/Renovation; Public Facilities - Acquisition; Public Services – Non-Capital Cost Projects; and Affordable Housing Projects. Instructions for developing proposals are included in the application packet, which will be available beginning Friday, May 4, 2012 on the Cherokee County website at www.cherokeega.com, or upon request, at the Cherokee County CDBG Program Office – 1130 Bluffs Parkway, Canton, GA 30114. 
 
Application Preparation Workshops will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 9:00 AM and Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 3:00 PM, at 1130 Bluffs Parkway, Canton, GA 30114.   Interested applicants should make plans to attend the workshop. 
 
At least 70% of the persons served with CDBG-assisted projects must be low or moderate income as required by CDBG regulations. Cherokee County provides assistance to government agencies and non-profit organizations. All non-profits must have proof of current 501(c)(3) status.

Applications must be received at the Cherokee County CDBG Program Office on or before Friday, July 6, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. LATE PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
