Q. When will my benefits be effective?
     A. Your benefits will be effective on the 1st of the month following your first full month of employment.

Q. How do I change my address?
     A. You can send an email to [email protected] to change your address with Payroll and your benefits.

Q. How can I view my benefit elections?     
     A. You can view your benefit elections any time by logging onto Selerix at www.benselect.com.

Q. What is my password for logging into Selerix?
     A. Your username is your SSN and your password is the last 4 digits of your SSN followed by your 2 digit birth year.

Q. What is my password to view my electronic paystub?
     A. The last 4 digits of your SSN.

Q. How often do I get paid?
     A. Every two weeks; a payroll calendar can be found on the intranet.

Q. Where can I find a copy of the current Personnel Policies Manual?
     A. This document is located on the Human Resources page of the County website, as well as the intranet.

Q. When can I change my benefits? 
     A. Benefit elections can be changed during open enrollment each year, or within 30 days of a life changing event (i.e. birth or adoption of a child
          marriage, divorce, etc.).

Q. What is bereavement leave?
     A. A full time employee who has a member of his immediate family taken by death shall receive up to 5 days off with pay as bereavement leave
          to arrange and/or attend funeral activities.

Q. Who is considered immediate family for purposes of bereavement leave?
     A. Includes spouse, child, parent, brother, sister, grandparents, parent-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, or grandchildren.

Q. Can I donate sick time to a coworker?
     A. Yes, in cases of extreme life-threatening illness, such as cancer, heart attack, stroke or other major illness. All request are reviewed and 
          approved by the County Manager and Human Resources Director on a case by case basis.

Q. What does DB stand for on my paycheck?
     A. The DB deduction is your mandatory 6% contribution to the County's Defined Benefit Pension Plan. More detailed information regarding
          this plan can be found here.

Q. How do I get my username and password for the Munis self-service tool?
     A. If you have never logged into Employee Self-Service, there is a link on the Human Resources page of the County website. You can access the login screen
          by clicking the Log In button on the upper left hand corner of the page. Most usernames match the first part of your County email address
          and your initial password is the last four digits of your SSN.
