TRAFFIC CITATIONS
If you have received a traffic citation issued by Georgia State Patrol or the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office as the result of a traffic accident, this is a "Must See Judge" offense. Therefore you must appear in court on the date listed on your traffic citation. Failure to appear before the Judge on the date indicated on your citation could result in a bench warrant being issued. These citations can NOT be paid online.
In most situations, if your citation is NOT a "Must See Judge" offense, your citation should be available to pay online in approximately 7 - 10 business days from the date you received your citation. If you are unable to access your citation online, please call the Cherokee County State Court Clerk's office at 678.493.6550, Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for assistance.
There are various ways to pay for Traffic Citations:
- You may pay in person at the Cherokee County State Court Clerk's Office. Their office lobby hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
- You may pay online at www.cherokeecotix.com;
- You may pay via Phone-pay by dialing 678-493-6550 and following the prompts;
- You may pay by mailing payments directly to the Clerk's office. Please visit their website or contact their office for specific instructions for mailing your payment.
