Vaccination and Testing Locations


MAKO Medical, on behalf of the North Georgia Health District, performs drive-through COVID-19 testing at First Baptist Church Woodstock. Operations are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the parking lot of First Baptist Church Woodstock, 11905 Highway 92. Entrance to the testing site will need to be made via the Gunnin Road entrance.

Pre-registration is required, however, there are no set appointment times. Sign up at https://mako.exchange/splash/GAmakotesting/ and then arrive at the testing location anytime between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, at your convenience.

Insurance information may be taken but test is no cost to the individual.


The North Georgia Health District’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Cherokee County is located at Canton First Baptist Church, 1 Mission Point, Canton. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

No vaccinations are being given at the NGHD-operated Cherokee County Health Department in Woodstock.

The vaccine is offered at no out-of-pocket expense. Insurance will be billed, but only if it is available. There will be no expense to any client. Anyone who does not have insurance will not be billed for the vaccination.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Cherokee County Government and Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency (CCEMA) are working closely with the Department of Public Health, and all local public safety agencies to monitor and respond to the current Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This COVID-19 update page includes all executive orders signed by Gov. Brian Kemp, the number of confirmed cases as reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health, briefings from the Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency and other resources for residents and businesses in Cherokee County.

We urge citizens to practice all precautions recommended by Public Health officials. These include proper hand washing, disinfection of all surfaces you touch, covering your coughs or sneezes, refraining from touching your face, and social distancing of 6 feet or more.
