Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit The Courts of the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit and Cherokee County will continue to operate under the Judicial Emergency Order governing operation of the Courts of this State entered by Chief Justice Harold Melton of the Supreme Court of Georgia on March 14, 2020. The Tax Assessor and Tax Comissioner Offices are re-opening June 1 with distancing, traffic flow patterns, and sanitizing protocols in place. Your patience with our staff and fellow taxpayers is appreciated during this slow return to normal.

This is to serve as notification that the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners has canceled the Work Session scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at 3:00 p.m.

This provides further notification that, in response to concerns created by the spread of COVID-19, the Regular 6 p.m. meeting will proceed with one or more Commissioners in attendance via teleconference as authorized under O.C.G.A. § 50-14-1(g) of Georgia's Open Meetings Act. Additionally, anyone who does not need to be present is encouraged to watch the meeting live-streamed and published on our website at www.cherokeega.com, including the public and staff who have no active role in the meeting.

Citizens wanting to provide input on a public hearing and are uncomfortable attending the meeting may email any comments to Andrea Daniels at amdaniels@cherokeega.com by the end of the day on Monday, March 16.

Those who do attend the meeting should wash and sanitize hands and keep a distance from others.
