Important Notice!  January 1, 2023, impact fees for new construction were increased. 

 

The new fee amount for single-family detached housing is $2,560.60

The new fee amount for residential condominium/townhouse is $2,492.87 

 

Attention Customers:

In order to reduce the risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus, the Cherokee County Development Services Center is encouraging all customers requesting service permits and commercial permits and those submitting site development plans or making business license renewals to make those submissions using the Cityview online portal - https://cityview.cherokeega.com/cvprodportal.

 

All residential building permit applications and new business license applications can be emailed directly to the DSC representatives at [email protected].  All payments can be paid through the web portal or by contacting the DSC at 770-721-7810. https://cityview.cherokeega.com/cvprodportal.

 

All other permit and development applications are available on the DSC webpage. https://www.cherokeega.com/DSC

The Development Service Center is the primary point for citizens of Cherokee County and its development community to obtain building permits, land development permits, planning and zoning services, environmental health services, Fire Marshal services, solicitor's permits, and issuance of business licenses. 

The Development Service Center is located on the ground floor of the Cherokee County Administration Building.  The DSC offers friendly, professional assistance from representatives trained to listen and understand the needs of our citizens, determine an appropriate course of action, and deliver a response which is timely, complete and valuable.

Services offered at the DSC include the following departments:

  • Building Permits & Inspections
  • Fire Marshal
  • Environmental Health
  • Planning & Zoning
  • Engineering
  • Development Review  and Land Disturbance
  • Alcohol License
  • Occupation Tax Certificate - Business License
